Russian drone attack kills one in Odesa region
On the evening of Saturday, December 16, Russian forces launched Shahed-type drones against Ukraine. One of the downed UAVs crashed into a residential area in Odesa region

At night, Russian troops attacked Odesa region with strike drones for the third time in a week. Air defense units managed to shoot down 9 Shahed-136 UAVs in the region.

At the same time, one of the damaged drones fell into a residential area in Odesa district and exploded. This caused the destruction and subsequent fire of private houses and a warehouse of a sports institution.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. A dead person was found in one of the houses.

According to the Odesa regional prosecutor's office, a 54-year-old man, a resident of a private house in Odesa district, was killed. His house was completely destroyed.

In addition, the blast wave damaged the roofs, walls, ceilings, windows, and doors of the houses around them.
