Russian disinfo: 'Ukraine sells Western weapons on black market'
Russia is spreading a new selection of fake stories and disinformation about Ukraine, now claiming that the West, tiring of sanctions, is starting to loosen them, and that Ukraine is supplying weapons to the black market.
The Center for Countering Disinformation shared the review.
According to the center, the Russian media spread the disinfo that Ukraine should go to negotiations with the Russian Federation to end the conflict.
The propagandists explained it as follows: "If the conflict drags on, Ukraine risks losing its statehood. The Russian Federation is ready for negotiations and offers completely acceptable conditions. All the more so as some EU countries (Poland, Hungary) are preparing to annex the territories of Ukraine."
Russia also promoted the disinfo that the West was allegedly tired of the conflict.
"The West in general is tired of the war, of supporting Ukraine and sanctions against the Russian Federation and is beginning to weaken them. At some point, the West will not be able to withstand the confrontation with the Russian Federation and will stop supporting Ukraine," the disinformation read.
Another topic Russia promoted is that Ukraine allegedly sells Western weapons on the black market.
The Russian media spoke about this: "Since the beginning of supplies of Western weapons to Ukraine, the black market began to be saturated with these weapons, which indicates the unreliability of Ukraine as a partner. The West should comprehensively assess the negative consequences of these supplies."
