Russian disinfo review: 'Ukraine leaves Kramatorsk, US pushes China closer to friendly Russia'
Russian propagandists have spread the false news that the Verkhovna Rada, with its decision on a nationalisation of the Novokramatorsk machinery plant, "confirms the exit from Kramatorsk". Other manipulated information suggests that the US is trying to humiliate China in order to "push" it closer to Russia.
The Center for Countering Disinformation reports this on Telegram.
As of the morning of August 3, Russia launched three disinfo campaigns.
Thus, the Russian mass media reported that "the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to nationalize the Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant in order to transfer production to the interior of the country and organize the production of the 155-mm howitzer "Bohdan" is confirmation that Ukraine is leaving Kramatorsk."
The second manipulation was spread by a member of the Russian Council of Federations Jabarov. He stated that the United States tried to humiliate China and thus pushed Beijing closer to Russia: "this will once again show China that their friend is actually Russia and that in alliance with Russia they will be able to oppose the United States."
And at the UN conference, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "the situation in the field of strategic stability in the world is rapidly deteriorating... a hybrid military campaign has been launched against Russia, which may result in a direct conflict between nuclear states."
