Russian attack results in fatality in Kherson region, air defense destroys all targets in northern Ukraine
On the evening of Tuesday, November 21, Russian forces initiated attacks across various Ukrainian regions, with at least 5 areas experiencing the air defense activity. A man lost his life in the Kherson region

Kyiv region
After 11:05 p.m., a group of hostile UAVs entered the Kyiv region from the north.
According to the regional military administration, air defense in the Kyiv region was actively responding to enemy drones.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces United Forces Commander, Serhii Nayev, later reported that invaders attempted to target civilian and military infrastructure. Specifically, 4 Shahed-type UAVs were successfully downed in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr directions.
Kherson region
In the evening, Russians lauched 12 guided aerial bombs on Beryslav, hitting a private house. A 65-year-old man, buried under the rubble, lost his life on the spot.
A 57-year-old citizen, who was outside during the shelling, is also a casualty, sustaining multiple injuries, including limb fractures.
Reports indicate damage to an enterprise, shop, and driving school within the region.
Sumy region
At 10:22 p.m., reports confirmed the activation of air defense systems in the Sumy region.
"Sumy region. Air defense is engaged. We remain calm and responsive to air alarm signals," notes Sumy regional military administration.
Ukrainian Armed Forces United Forces Commander, Serhii Nayev, specified that Ukrainian air defense fighters successfully targeted a Russian reconnaissance drone in the Sumy direction.
Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions
By 10:00 p.m., four Shahed drones were taken out in the Eastern Air Command's area. Armed forces successfully downed a UAV in the Synelniky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region and two drones in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Ground Forces unit also eliminated another Shahed.
Simultaneously, Nikopol experienced casualties due to renewed Russian shelling in the evening. Two men sustained shrapnel wounds and are currently hospitalized, with one in critical condition.
Khmelnytskyi region
Serhii Tyurin, the first deputy chief of the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, provided an update on Air Defense Forces' actions in the Khmelnytskyi district.
The debris of an enemy drone landed in a private house yard, causing damage to a commercial non-residential building. This led to a fire, and emergency services, along with other relevant agencies, are actively responding on-site.
At 3:04 a.m., the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Air Force announced the successful repulsion of a threat posed by attacking UAVs in various regions.
