Russian assault repelled and prisoner captured as Ukraine’s border guards showcase their work in Donetsk region

At first, the occupying Russian forces shelled the positions of the Ukrainian military with mortars, as well as rocket and barrel artillery. Then they decided to go on an assault with two platoons of infantry together with military equipment. However, the border guards defeated the enemy's offensive, destroyed the equipment and forced the Russian forces to flee, leaving behind their dead and wounded.

“As a result of the battle, border guards repelled a fierce enemy assault and captured a 35-year-old wounded contract service soldier from the Russian Rostov region. The prisoner was given the necessary medical care and handed over to replenish the exchange fund,” Ukraine's State Border Service says.
