Russian artillery displacement from Oleshky and Nova Kakhovka minimizes shelling of Kherson - Serhiy Zgurets
It is necessary to actively carry out the work of artillery to push Russia away from the left bank of the Dnipro river, to minimize the shelling of Kherson.
This was announced by the director of the information and consulting company Defense Express Serhiy Zgurets on the air of Espreso channel.
"We predicted and expected that Russian forces will shell Kherson. Now we understand that pushing back of (Russian - ed.) artillery from the Dnipro river's left bank, from Oleshky, Nova Kakhovka, which is carried out at the expense of our artillery, will eventually minimize the shelling of Kherson. We need to actively carry out artillery work in these areas. But we understand the amount of artillery is not unlimited and there are priority areas, in particular Bakhmut, which must be recaptured from the Russian forces, Avdiivka, Mariinka. The amount of artillery that has been transferred today is significant, but not enough for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," he said.
Serhiy Zgurets believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will transfer part of the artillery or perform tasks in different areas by strengthening the directions of the front. In this regard, Western statements about providing Ukraine with more artillery, even old ones, are relevant.
