Russian army's potential is enough for another year of active hostilities
Serhiy Zgurets, CEO of Defense Express military expert group says the Russian army has artillery, heavy equipment and manpower capabilities to conduct hostilities for almost another year.
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Yesterday, I watched the Estonian intelligence analysis on Russia's weapons stocks. Oddly enough, the Estonians were one of the first to predict Russian attacks deep into Ukraine at the beginning of the invasion. They analyzed the amount of artillery, heavy armored vehicles and personnel and came to the conclusion that Russia has the potential to lead active hostilities for almost another year. Even despite the significant exhaustion of the Russian army at this stage of the war," Zgurets told Espreso TV.
The expert emphasizes that Russia still has a large amount of old ammunition.
"Russia has some stocks of artillery and heavy military equipment. However there are some problems with ammunition. American and British intelligence reports say that Russian forces now use old ammunition. However, old ammunition is not a limiting factor for the Russian army," he added.
