Russian army partially captures approaches to Kreminna and intends to take Kupiansk — British intelligence
British Ministry of Defense, citing intelligence data, reported that Russia partially regained control over the approaches to the city of Kreminna
The British Ministry of Defense informs about this.
"In places, Russia has made gains of up to several kilometers. Russian commanders are likely trying to expand a security zone west from the defense lines they have prepared along higher ground, and integrate the natural obstacle of the Oskil River. They likely seek to recapture Kupiansk, a logistics node," the review says.
Analysts note that the operational intentions of the Russian military command in the Northeast are likely to remain defensive.
"Commanders probably fear this is one of the sectors where Ukraine could attempt major offensive operations," the intelligence says.

Bakhmut, Avdiivka and the outskirts of Kreminna remain the hottest areas of the front. In other areas, Russian activity has declined, which is related both to the accumulation of their resources to repel our counterattack, and to weather conditions.

It was noted that Russia is preparing for a spring-summer campaign.
