Russian air defense is involved in Bryansk region warplane crashes — Ukrainian Air Force spokesman

"The aviation strike group attacked Ukraine from the north of the Bryansk region, and helicopters were involved in this attack. They carry out these strikes every day, using guided aerial bombs. There is already talk of a third helicopter, which would make a total of five. However, they encountered some trouble as they attempted to bomb our peaceful regions and people," stated the spokesman.

Specifically, Ihnat pointed out that Russia itself is implicated in the recent plane crashes. "It was a black day for aviation, and they have acknowledged it. There is already an analysis underway to determine who is responsible and who will be punished for this mess that is happening. It is satisfying to hear such news from our enemy," he added.

• As a reminder, on May 13, 2023, two Mi-8 helicopters, along with Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft, crashed in the Bryansk region, which borders Ukraine. Preliminary data suggests that they may have been downed by anti-aircraft missiles.
