Russian troops taking Melitopol residents captive and torturing by electrocution
Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of Melitopol, told Espreso TV that Russian soldiers have been intensifying terror and chaos in the temporarily occupied Melitopol
"Terror in Melitopol has intensified. After fleeing from Kherson, a large number of Russian units stopped in Melitopol and the Melitopol district. A huge concentration of occupiers is now in the city. The Russians are en masse capturing residents because people resist them," Fedorov noted.
According to the mayor, people do not want to follow the instructions of the Russian army, particularly to get Russian passports and take Russian humanitarian aid.
"A woman told how she was held captive for 9 days: she and others were kept in a sea container. It was so crowded there that they could only stand for 9 days. Men are tortured every day, they get electrocuted. Russian leadership forces recruits to practice beatings on captive Ukrainian civilians," Fedorov explained.
