Russia attacks Ukraine with drones and S-300
On the night of Tuesday, December 5, Russia attacked Ukraine with 17 attack drones and 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, including western regions
The head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, informed that at about 4 am, Russia attacked an infrastructure facility in the Lviv region.
"During the air raid alert, at about 4 a.m., the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility in the Lviv region with three drones. The strike caused a fire, which was quickly extinguished. There is some minor damage," emphasized Kozytskyi.
He also added that, fortunately, there were no casualties. There was no damage to the region's life support systems.
Ukrainian air defense destroys 10 'Shaheds'
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs from two directions - Kursk region and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation.
In addition, the Russians directed S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles at civilian objects in Donetsk and Kherson regions.
In total, 17 Shahed-type attack UAVs and six S-300 missiles were recorded during the attack.
As a result of combat operations, 10 attack drones were destroyed in different regions of Ukraine.
Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were involved in thwarting the Russian air attack.
