Zelenskyy: Ukrainian forces clearing Kupiansk of Russian units

He made this statement during a conversation with journalists, reports Ukrinform.

"Fierce actions are ongoing in the Kupiansk area, there are corresponding forces there. We have strong units operating there, they are destroying the Russian servicemen who are concentrated there and trying to advance. Counter-sabotage measures are taking place in the middle of the city, our units are engaged in clearing it. We believe that the Russian forces there will be destroyed," said the head of state.

• Over the past day, 165 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped 50 Russian assault and offensive actions.
