Zelenskyy invites Romania’s President-elect Nicușor Dan for official visit to Ukraine

According to Zelenskyy, he congratulated Nicușor Dan on his victory in the presidential election.

"It is very important for Romania to develop and for all of us to cooperate in our region and in Europe. We respect Romania and the choice of the Romanian people. This is a country that plays a key role in security matters," said the President of Ukraine.

He also thanked Romania "for its contribution to protecting the lives of our people." The President added that it is important for Ukraine's support to continue.

"I invited Nicușor Dan to come to Ukraine. We also discussed possible opportunities to meet soon," he added.

• On May 18, the second round of Romania's presidential elections took place. The current mayor of Bucharest, Nicușor Dan, won the election.
