"Currently, information is being actively disseminated that Ukraine is going to amend the legislation on women's mobilization. The Centre emphasizes that no law on mobilization provides for the draft of women. Therefore, the information disseminated is fake," the statement said.
"The issue of women's mobilization is not relevant today and is not considered by the authorities. Women can be mobilized to the Defense Forces of Ukraine only on a voluntary basis. There are no plans to do otherwise," the Centre added.

At his final press conference in December 2023, President Zelenskyy said that he did not support the idea of mobilizing women.
