Why Ukraine is striking Russian corvettes on Lake Onega
It's a good thing that Ukrainian intelligence, the Special Operation Forces, and other components of the Defense Forces have an excellent knowledge of the globe of the Russian Federation
I saw a question: why waste resources to destroy a Russian missile corvette with Kalibr missiles in Lake Onega, it's so far from Ukraine! In other words, people think the missile corvette is on combat duty in the lake, probably stunning perch.
"For reference: in Russia, the Volga-Baltic Waterway is operational, allowing passage from the Caspian to the Baltic Sea, and Lake Onega is part of this route."
And there is also the Volga-Don Canal, which allows passage from the Caspian to the Azov and Black Seas.
It's a good thing that Ukrainian intelligence, the Special Operation Forces, and other components of the Defense Forces have an excellent knowledge of the globe of the Russian Federation.
