"The fact that they are hitting civilians and civilian infrastructure is a war crime, no matter how you look at it. I'm even a little surprised by the West's weak reaction to this, why there are no loud statements from the UN, why there are no loud statements from embassies," the military said.
As a political scientist, Sazonov analyzes that the Western world was not prepared for military operations in the center of Europe, because it had been living in the so-called post-war state for a very long time.
"Now, I think, the president of the Czech Republic, a former military general, the prime minister of Poland, and the British defense minister are saying that we are living in a pre-war time, and we have to get ready. I always say that the pre-war period is already over, we are living at the beginning of World War III, it just didn't start with some kind of revelation, it started in a hybrid way. It probably began in Georgia, then Crimea, now Ukraine, and what is happening in Israel and China's views on Taiwan - all this suggests that World War III has already begun," the Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman explained.
Sazonov is convinced that the West has long believed that there will be no more war, that it is irrational and unprofitable: "But from the point of view of reaction, from the point of view of logic and economics, it turned out to be impossible to calculate the actions of the Kremlin maniac.”
