He made this statement aboard Air Force One, according to the Associated Press.
Trump emphasized that he wants Russia to halt its aggressive actions, noting that the bombing continues without pause.
“We're talking to Russia, we'd like them to stop. I don't like the bombing. The bombing goes on and on. Every week, people — thousands of young people — are being killed,” he emphasized.
Trump reiterated that this situation would not have happened if he had remained in office.
“This is a horrible thing that should’ve never started, would’ve never started if I were president,” the American president summarized.
