Ukraine hits Russia's Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant: intelligence clarifies outcome
As a result of the July 1 attack by Ukrainian drones, Russia's only full-cycle steel plant, the Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant, was hit.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, said this during the United News telethon.
According to him, the shutdown of the Oskol Ugarov Electrometallurgical Plant in Russia's Belgorod region will have significant consequences, "so this is good news for all those who oppose Russian aggression.”
Yusov emphasized that the company's main customers are the military, and the plant specializes in the production of vehicles, military equipment, and anything that uses metal.
"This is the only full-cycle steelmaking enterprise in Russia. It has been shut down. And let's just say that in the coming months, it will be problematic to resume full operations there. This means complications and disruption of defense orders and supply chains," said the intelligence representative.

Ukraine publishes map of 10 record-breaking strikes on Russia
Deep strikes into Russia have been systematically conducted for over six months using Ukrainian weaponry. This demonstrates that deploying Western-made weapons will not cross any additional "red lines".
The Centre for Strategic Communications StratCom Ukraine stated this information. StratCom released a map detailing 10 significant strikes on Russia during the first half of 2024.
"By gradually enhancing the capabilities of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are consistently extending the range and effectiveness of their strikes," the statement noted.
StratCom underscores that authorization to use Western weapon systems will bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities and hasten the conclusion of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
