
Vance takes another 100 days to push Ukraine and Russia closer
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said there is a “very big gulf” between Ukraine and Russia in how they envision ending the war, and that the administration of President Donald Trump will work to “try to bring two sides closer"
He made the remarks in an interview with Fox News, according to European Pravda.
Asked to comment on the state of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, Vance said, "the first and necessary step of getting the Russia-Ukraine conflict solved is to get each of them to make a peace proposal."
Also, Vance mentioned: "And that's actually happened. The Ukrainians have said, ‘This is what we want.’ The Russians have said, ‘This is what we want,’ and now the work of diplomacy is to try to sort of bring these two sides closer together.
He added that peace proposals have already been presented, and over the next 100 days of Trump’s presidency, his administration “will work very hard to try to bring the sides
"There's a very big gulf between what the Russians want and what the Ukrainians want."
"We've got the peace proposal out there and issued, and we're going to work very hard over the next 100 days to try to bring these guys together," he added.
