Putin-Witkoff meeting ends in Moscow: resuming direct Russia-Ukraine talks was discussed
On Friday, April 25, Russian leader Vladimir Putin held a three-hour meeting in Moscow with U.S. Special Representative Steve Witkoff. The Kremlin says the politicians discussed the possibility of resuming direct talks between Ukraine and Russia
The propaganda state agency TASS and RIA Novosti reported the information.
According to Putin's aide, Yuri Ushakov, the meeting between the Kremlin leader and Witkoff lasted three hours and was “constructive and useful.” He also emphasized that the talks allowed “to bring positions closer not only on Ukraine, but also on other international issues.”
At the same time, Ushakov said that the meeting between Witkoff and Putin raised the topic of resuming direct talks between Kyiv and Moscow.
Start of the meeting
