NHK reported the information.

Around 10 p.m. local time, air traffic control staff at Brønnøysund Airport visually observed a drone flying close to the airfield. The police had first received a report about the UAV at 8:17 p.m.

“We conducted searches using the police resources available in the area. We observed the drone in the air but were unable to locate the pilot operating it. After completing the search, we wrapped up our work at the site,” the police reported.

Caroline Persen, spokesperson for Avinor, the company that operates Norwegian airports, clarified that the last scheduled flight landed on time despite the drone incident. However, the airport was then closed for the night and is expected to resume operations on the morning of October 1.

  • On the evening of September 22, Kyiv time, the Copenhagen airport suspended operations due to drone activity, and in Oslo, drones were spotted over a military facility.
  • Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal believes that Russia is trying to divert Europe’s attention from supporting Ukraine by violating airspace with drones.
