Ukrainian Security Service strikes Russia’s largest oil export port
On September 12, Ukrainian Security Service drones struck Russia’s largest oil terminal on the Baltic Sea, Primorsk, halting oil shipments
Suspilne, Ukrinform, and RBC-Ukraine reported the information, citing sources.
As a result of the attack by Ukrainian UAVs, fires broke out on one of the vessels in the port and at a pumping station, forcing Russians to suspend oil shipments.
At the same time, the SBU also struck the oil pumping stations NPS-3, NPS Andreapol, and NPS-7, which are key elements of the main pipeline system supplying crude oil to the Ust-Luga port.
The Security Service also stressed that about 60 million tons of oil pass through Primorsk annually — bringing Moscow roughly 15 billion USD in revenue.
On the night of August 30, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems and Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck two Russian oil refineries — in Krasnodar and in Syzran.
