Ukrainian national guard captures five Russians in one of hottest combat zones
Special forces scouts from the Chervona Kalyna brigade captured five Russian soldiers. They will be added to the prisoner exchange pool
The National Guard’s press service reported this.
"National Guard troops captured five Russians in one of the most intense combat zones. The operation was carefully planned by the scouts of the 'Chervona Kalyna' brigade, who identified the Russian exact hiding location. Infantry troops then advanced to the coordinates, forcing the Russian soldiers to surrender instead of facing an inglorious death," the statement reads.
"One of the captives turned out to be more than just an ordinary soldier. The National Guard promised to reveal more details later," the report added.
The captured Russians received medical aid and food. They will be added to the prisoner exchange pool to help secure the swift return of Ukrainian heroes from Russian captivity.
- Yuriy Fedorenko, the commander of Ukraine’s 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems Achilles, highlighted that efforts are currently underway to block Russian troops on the right bank of the Oskil River in the Kupiansk district.
