Ukrainian intel releases first-ever footage of Russian forces crushed in pre-Easter assault
Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence has shown how Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian assault group that was attacking the Zaporizhzhia direction shortly before Easter
The Defense Intelligence’s Artan special unit reported the information.
Shortly before the Easter holidays, the Russian army attempted a massive assault on the positions of Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces, particularly in the area of responsibility of the Artan unit.
Russian forces involved over 300 soldiers, 40 units of armored combat vehicles, 3 tanks, and about 10 buggies, which advanced in 6 columns.
"As soon as the enemy columns moved out, FPV operators from the Artan Syndicate and Artan’s artillerymen got to work. The first 3 BMPs were destroyed 8 kilometers before reaching the line of contact. The rest of the column was similarly 'taken apart' as they approached our positions," the unit commander said.
Thanks to the professional work of Artan together with other units of the Defense Forces, the Russian assault was thwarted. Ukrainian soldiers destroyed or disabled 15 pieces of equipment and eliminated about 100 soldiers.
