Ukrainian forces strike Russian oil depots in Tambov, Oryol regions
On the night of December 3, Ukrainian forces struck key Russian military targets in the Tambov and Oryol regions, as well as in the Black Sea water area
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.
In particular, the Dmitrievskaya oil depot in the Tambov region, which provides for the needs of Russian troops, was hit. As a result of the strike, several reservoirs with oil products caught fire; details of the damage are being clarified.
In addition, during operations in the Black Sea, a technical observation post on the MSP-4 offshore stationary platform was hit. According to preliminary information, a Russian drone crew was destroyed and the surface situation radar on the Syvash self-elevating floating drilling rig was damaged; other results are being clarified.
The destruction of three Russian Orion-type reconnaissance and strike UAVs during an attack on the Saky airfield (Novofedorivka, temporarily occupied Crimea) on November 27, 2025, has also been confirmed. One such drone costs about $5 million, has a wingspan of 16.3 meters, and is capable of staying in the air for up to 24 hours.
In addition, on December 2, during a strike, the Livny oil depot in the Oryol region of the Russian Federation was hit, as a result of which two RV-5000 reservoirs caught fire.
According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to strike at facilities that form Russia's military-economic potential to force the aggressor country to stop the war against Ukraine.
