He said this on Espreso TV.
"We need to prepare for any scenario: there is always a positive scenario and an extremely negative one. Therefore, it is better that all the fortifications are prepared, especially along the main directions that the Russian forces are likely to move.
We are talking about the main logistics arteries, highways, and railways. We need to form the appropriate borders and defense lines. Actually, this is what we are working on in the Dnipropetrovsk region. It is right that these processes are taking place. Even if the Russians do not have access to the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, and perhaps they will not have such an opportunity, we must do everything in advance," Kovalenko said.
- Earlier, OSINT analysts reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had begun to build fortifications near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
