Ukrainian forces retreat from several settlements in Zaporizhzhia region
Ukrainian military personnel were forced to withdraw from positions near several settlements in Zaporizhzhia due to massive assaults and shelling by Russian troops
Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, said this in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
"In the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions, intense battles have been ongoing for several days in a row. The enemy is using all available weapons to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their held positions," he emphasized.
According to the spokesman, the Defense Forces had to withdraw from the areas of Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka in the Zaporizhzhia region due to massive assaults, over 400 artillery shellings per day, and the destruction of shelters.
"The enemy is trying to bring its consolidation groups into these settlements, but Ukrainian defenders are resisting their attempts to hold on with all their might," Voloshyn stressed.
At the same time, he emphasized that fierce battles continue for Rivnopillia, Solodke, and Yablukove. Russian troops from the east are trying to encircle Huliaipole and cut off logistical routes from Pokrovske.
On November 10, DeepState reported that Russia managed to capture the settlement of Uspenivka, and is also actively pressuring Nove, Novouspenivske, and trying to gain a foothold near Rivnopillia.
