Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.
“As part of efforts to reduce the enemy’s ability to carry out airstrikes, on August 14, Special Operations Forces units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, conducted a fire strike on the Port of Olya (Astrakhan region, Russia),” the statement says.
The General Staff noted that Russia uses this port as an important logistics hub for supplying military goods from Iran.
It was reported that Ukrainian forces struck the vessel Port Olya 4, which was loaded with components for Shaheds and ammunition from Iran.
The final results of the operation are currently being clarified.
- Ukraine has confirmed that its armed forces carried out a strike on the Volgograd Oil Refinery in Russia on the night of August 14.
