Ukrainian forces have eliminated over 55,000 Russian soldiers during the operation in the Kursk region of Russia, with 22,000 killed
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported the information, according to the General Staff.
Over the seven and a half months since the start of the Kursk operation, Ukrainian forces have inflicted total losses of more than 55,000 Russian soldiers. Of these, more than 22,200 are irrecoverable, over 31,800 are sanitary losses, and more than 940 are prisoners of war.
Additionally, due to the increased intensity of Russia’s actions and attempts to push and transfer combat operations to the Sumy region, Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the Ukrainian Defense Forces in that area.
"Here, in the operational zone of the Kursk grouping of troops, our soldiers continue to carry out defensive operations to prevent the Russian army from breaking through deep into Ukrainian territory. With the same goal, Ukrainian forces are conducting effective counterattacks and assault actions," the post states.
- The Ukrainian Air Force struck a concentration of Russian personnel in Kondratyevka, Kursk region, eliminating up to 30 soldiers.
