Ukrainian forces target Russian Buk-M3, Buk-M2 in Luhansk region
On the night of October 25, Ukrainian forces hit the Buk-M3 system and destroyed a Buk-M2 radar guidance station in the occupied Luhansk region
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reports.
“Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, as part of the tasks of detecting and eliminating Russian air defense systems, destroyed the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system and destroyed the 9C36 target illumination and missile guidance radar station of the enemy Buk-M2,” the statement says.
The General Staff noted that the targets were located in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region, several tens of kilometers from the front line.
“The work is ongoing. The weakening of the Russian air defense makes other important Russian targets vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes both at the front and in the deep rear,” the Ukrainian General Staff added.
- Over the past day, the invading Russian army lost 1,630 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 7 Russian tanks and 34 artillery systems.
