Ukrainian Defense Forces foil 2 Kh-59 guided missiles, repel 50 Russian attacks in six sectors

Russian attacks on Ukraine

During the day, the Russian army launched 4 missile and 37 air strikes, fired 49 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Frontline situation 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 10 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia did not conduct any assault operations. Over 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Sinkivka, Petropavlivka, and Kotlyarivka in Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, Defense forces repelled 9 attacks near Terny, Donetsk region. The Russian troops carried out air strikes near Nevske, Luhansk region; Novosadove, Yampolivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 localities in Luhansk and Donetsk regions suffered from artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian army fought off 13 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnekamianske and Bohdanivka, Donetsk region, where the Russian invaders, supported by air power, tried to improve their tactical position. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled nine attacks near the towns of Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka and Pervomaiske in Donetsk region, where Russia, with the support of its air force, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions. The Russian military also launched air strikes near the towns of Solovyove, Oleksandropil, Semenivka, and Netaylove in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Defense forces continued to hold back the enemy in the areas of Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, where the Russians tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 15 times. The occupiers carried out air strikes in the vicinity of Kostyantynivka, Katerynivka and Antonivka in the Donetsk region. Over 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian army, supported by aviation, attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 3 times near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson sector, Russia has not abandoned its intention to push our units out of the bridgeheads on the Dnipro eastern bank. Thus, during the day, it made one unsuccessful attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Krynky, Kherson region. The Russian army conducted an air strike near the village of Vesele in Kherson region. About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukraine strikes at Russian positions

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck at 9 areas of concentration of Russian troops, weapons and military equipment. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed 2 Kh-59 guided missiles.
