Ukrainian forces repel 80 attacks by Russian troops in 24 hours

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported this on April 30.

During the day, Russia launched one missile and 29 air strikes, fired 109 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. 

Frontline situation 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 30 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

• In the Lyman sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 16 attacks by the Russia near the мшддфпуы of Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region, as well as Terny in Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike in the area of Serebryanske forestry. Artillery and mortar shelling affected more than 10 localities in Donetsk region.
• In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 24 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, Spirne, Novyi, Klishchiivka, Andriivka and Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, where Russian enemy, supported by aviation, was trying to improve the tactical situation. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
• In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 23 attacks in the Donetsk region, where Russian enemy tried to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions. Russia launched air strikes near Novobakhmutivka and Yevhenivka in Donetsk region. About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.
• In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back Russian forces in the areas of Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, where Russia, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops 10 times. Russian army launched an air strike near Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka.
• In the Orikhiv sector, Russian aggressor, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders twice near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. Russia also carried out air strikes near the settlements of Storozheve in Donetsk region and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
• In the Kherson sector, Russian terrorists do not abandon their intention to push Ukrainian troops out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day Russia carried out two unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops near Krynky, Kherson region. Russia carried out air strikes near the settlements of Mykhailivka, Tyahynka, Yantarne in the Kherson region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions 

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian aviation struck at 12 manpower concentration areas.

Moreover, the missile troops struck one Russian manpower concentration area.
