Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic troop grouping, said this in a comment to Suspilne Donbas.
"Because the Russians had destroyed almost everything in Urozhaine, the Ukrainian Defense Forces moved to other positions. A decision was made. It was made to save the lives and health of our servicemen who were holding the line there," the spokesman said.
According to him, the decision was made because the Ukrainian troops’ positions, as well as the settlement itself, were destroyed by constant, combined and prolonged shelling by the Russian army. He emphasized that keeping personnel in Urozhaine was a threat to the lives of the Ukrainian military.
- Ukraine's Defense Forces continue to carry out combat missions on Dnipro’s left bank in the Kherson region, in particular in the village of Krynky.
