Ukrainian army eliminates 6 tanks, 15 armored vehicles, 770 Russian soldiers in one day - General Staff

Over the last day, 98 combat clashes took place in the frontline. Ukraine's defense forces managed to repel 86 Russian attacks, most of them in the Marinka and Avdiivka sectors, and eliminate 770 Russian troops

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a morning report on January 27.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to January 27, 24 are estimated at:

  • personnel - about 381,370 (+770) people.
  • tanks - 6,271 (+6) 
  • armored combat vehicles - 11,652 (+15) 
  • artillery systems - 9,085 (+3) 
  • MLRS - 972 (+0) 
  • air defense systems - 660 (+0) 
  • aircraft - 331 (+0) 
  • helicopters - 324 (+0) 
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 7,037 (+4) 
  • cruise missiles - 1,845 (+0)

Situation at front: almost 100 combat clashes take place, Ukrainian forces repel Russian attacks in Marinka, Avdiivka directions

Thus, according to Ukraine's General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 Russian attacks near Tabaivka, Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka, Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 8 attacks near Terny and Torske in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed 11 Russian attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group, Ukrainian army continues to hold back the Russian enemy, who keeps trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukraine's soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the Russian militants. Thus, over the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 20 attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 9 attacks near 4 more localities in Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold back the Russian enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where they repelled 14 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukraine’s forces repelled an attack near Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian troops repulsed 6 hostile attacks north of Pryiutne, south of Chervone, west of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, Ukraine's defense forces continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the Russian troops keep trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, they made 4 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

Russia attacks Ukrainian territory with missiles, artillery, UAVs

In total, Russia launched 8 missile strikes (with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles at the civilian infrastructure of Donetsk and Kherson regions) and 4 air strikes, and fired 78 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, schools, kindergartens, a shopping center and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The Russian occupation troops conducted another air strike using 4 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed all the attack drones.

In the morning, the Russian army struck at the civilian infrastructure of the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region, with an Iskander ballistic missile.

More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions come under Russian artillery fire

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are actively inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, depleting the Russian enemy along the entire front line.
