According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 97 combat engagements took place on the frontline between the two armies over the past day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled enemy attacks in 6 directions and killed 1,030 Russian troops.
Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Russia had significantly intensified its offensive, so decisions were made to strengthen the most problematic defense areas on the eastern front.
