Ukrainian army shoots down over 9,000 Russian drones since beginning of full-scale war
Since the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have targeted more than 9,000 Russian drones

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The ministry noted that every night Russia launches drones across Ukraine to hit civilian infrastructure.
"Effective air defense = saved lives of Ukrainians," Ukraine's Ministry of Defense emphasized.
On April 8, MoD reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army had lost over 15,000 vehicles and tanks with fuel and lubricants.
In addition, the ministry noted that since the beginning of spring, almost 2,000 units of Russian equipment have been destroyed.
- In March, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a record number of Russian artillery systems. The Ministry of Defense said that in March 2024, the Armed Forces of Ukraine targeted 976 Russian artillery systems. This is the highest figure for one month since the start of the full-scale invasion.
- On April 1, it was reported that in March 2024, the Air Force's air defense destroyed 326 Russian aerial reconnaissance and attack vehicles, including more than 150 Shahed drones.
