Ukrainian army records 80 combat clashes along frontline, mostly in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove sectors

This was reported by the General Staff in a daily update.

‘The enemy does not stop trying to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine, the Defense Forces are holding back the invaders, causing significant losses. Today, the number of enemy attacks increased to 80. The occupiers continue to make the main efforts in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, where they conducted more than half of all attacks in Ukraine. In addition, Russian forces are active in the Lyman, Kupiansk and Vremivka sectors,’ the General Staff said.

On November 28, the areas of Popivka, Progress and Chuykivka in Sumy region suffered from enemy artillery shelling from the territory of Russia.  

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops eight times near Vovchansk, Tykhyi and Hlyboke. The situation is under control.

Russian enemy attacked Ukrainian positions in the Kupyansk sector nine times. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Holubivka, Kindrashivka, Zelenyi Hai, Rayhorodka, Lozova and Kruglyakivka. Fighting is currently ongoing in three locations.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian military attacked in the areas of Tverdokhlibove, Hrekivka, Pershotravneve, Yampolivka and Terny. Ukrainian troops repelled two attacks since the beginning of the day, five firefights are still ongoing.

In the Siversky sector, Russian enemy launched three air strikes in the vicinity of Zakitne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out three assault operations near Bila Hora and Stupochki. One attack is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the occupying Russiaт forces have made 31 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Dachanske, Zhovte, Chumatske, Novyi Trud and Pustynka. Ukrainian forces, holding back the enemy's onslaught, have already repelled a total of 21 enemy attacks in the area.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russian invaders attacked 31 times, trying to advance in the areas of Sontsivka, Berestky, Novodmitrivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Yelyzavetivka, Romanivka, Antonivka and Hnativka. Eight firefights are currently ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian troops conducted 14 attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions near Trudove, Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynopilske, Rozdolne, Sukhi Yaly and Novodarivka. Seven firefights are ongoing.

Russian forces did not conduct any active operations in the Orikhiv and Huliaipole sectors.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russian army made two unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

• Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupation army lost at least 1,220 servicemen in the war in Ukraine. Defense Forces of Ukraine also destroyed a tank and 45 UAVs.
