Ukrainian air defense destroys 7 Shahed drones and one Kh-59 missile overnight
On the night of July 28, Russian forces attempted an attack on Ukraine using a drone and a missile. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted and destroyed seven drones and one Kh-59 missile

Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk reported this incident.
"On the night of July 28, Russia launched a Kh-59 guided air missile from the airspace over the Black Sea and deployed eight Shahed attack UAVs from the Cape Chauda military field in Crimea," the statement reads.
Ukrainian forces shot down a Kh-59 guided air missile and seven Shahed-131/136 UAVs. Almost all air targets were neutralized in the Odesa region.
- On the morning of July 28, the Russian occupation army struck the suburbs of Kherson, resulting in injuries to three people.
