Ukraine's General Staff reports 99 clashes at front, most fighting in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove directions
Since the beginning of July 29, there have been 99 combat engagements at the front. Russian troops are focusing their main efforts on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions

The Kharkiv region is under attack by Russian aircraft. Today, 18 aerial guided bombs were deployed, targeting the areas of Starytsia, Lozova, Vovchanski Khutory, Mali Prokhody, Izbytske, and Prykolodne.
In addition, in the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted to storm Ukrainian positions four times in the areas of Hlyboke and Vovchansk. They suffered losses and were forced to retreat.
In the Kupyansk sector, Russia launched three attacks on Ukrainian positions near Stelmakhivka and Pishchane. They also bombarded the areas of Kupyansk and Petropavlivka. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their ground firmly.
In the Lyman sector today, the invading army conducted eight attacks on Ukrainian positions near Nevske, Makiivka, and Terny. Six of these engagements ended in failure for Russia, while two are still ongoing.
The Russian army is also active in the Siversk sector. Near the settlements of Ivan-Daryivka, Spirne, and Pereizne, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks, and four attempts to advance were unsuccessful. The situation remains under control.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions near Chasiv Yar, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Klishchiivka, and Hryhorivka. Two of these assaults are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk sector, the number of Russian attacks has risen to 12 since the beginning of the day. Russia's efforts are focused on the areas of Pivnichne, Zalizne, and New York. Ukrainian troops repelled eight of these attacks, with the remaining ones still in progress. Toretsk and the surrounding areas were bombed by Russian forces, which dropped eight aerial guided bombs.
As usual in recent days, the Pokrovsk sector experienced the highest number of firefights. Today, Russian troops, supported by bombers and attack aircraft, made 36 attempts to drive Ukrainian defenders from their positions near ten different settlements. Russia is most active near Prohres, Novooleksandrivka, Tymofiivka, and Zhelanne. Ukraine has successfully repelled 20 of these attacks so far, with 16 battles still ongoing. Russian aircraft dropped nearly two dozen guided bombs in the area and launched unguided aerial missiles near Oleksandropil and Novobakhmutivka.
Fighting occurred near Kostiantynivka, Antonivka, and Paraskoviivka in the Kurakhove sector. As of today, 17 attacks by the occupying army have been stopped.
In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled a Russian assault near Velyka Novosilka. Five more clashes are ongoing in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Vodiane. Russia attacked with three aerial guided bombs near Katerynivka and used unguided aerial missiles near Novodonetske.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian army made three unsuccessful attempts to advance near Mala Tokmachka, which were fiercely repelled. They also launched more than fifty unguided aerial missiles toward Kamianske and Myrne.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russia did not carry out any offensive actions but bombarded the areas of Lvove, Tiahynka, and Novotiahynka, using seven aerial guided bombs.

On July 29, Ukraine's General Staff reported that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated 576,000 soldiers of the occupying Russian army at the front.
