Over the last day, Ukrainian troops repelled 17 Russian attacks in the Bakhmut sector

Russian attacks across Ukraine

Russia launched 6 missile strikes, 65 airstrikes, and 61 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) at the Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas.

Over the day, 47 combat engagements were registered.

Frontline situation 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 20 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

In the Kupyansk sector, Russia did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. However, about 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three enemy attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, where the Russian army tried to break through the defense. More than 10 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Bakhmut sector, 17 attacks were repelled in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Vyimka, Rozdolivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, where the Russian troops with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Umanske and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, where the Russian troops tried to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russians in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Novomykhailivka, where they, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense 14 times. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia, with the support of aviation, attacked the Ukrainian positions near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson sector, Russia does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. More than 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian strikes against Russian military positions 

Over the day, Ukrainian aviation struck at the Russian military position, as well as at an anti-aircraft missile system, an artillery system, and an electronic warfare station.

Missile troops hit 8 manpower concentration areas and a Russian anti-aircraft missile system.
