In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 Russian attacks near Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repulsed 14 Russia's attacks near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Terny and Yampolivka, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 22 hostile attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russian enemy, who keeps trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukraine's soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, the Defense Forces repelled 21 adversary attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka and 12 more attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region over the past day.
In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian troops are holding back the Russian forces near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 19 attacks were repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukraine's defenders repulsed two Russia's attacks south of Zolota Nyva in Donetsk region and north of Pryiutne in Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled three Russian attacks west of Novopokrovka, Verbove and near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions and repel the attacks of the occupation forces. Despite significant losses, Russia keeps trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Thus, over the past day, the Russian army carried out 4 unsuccessful assault operations.
In total, the Russian Federation launched 73 airstrikes and 76 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure, were destroyed and damaged.
At night, the Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine using 26 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Air defense forces and means destroyed 18 attack UAVs. Information on the consequences of the morning attack is being clarified.

On the evening of Friday, February 9, Russia attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones. The drones were moving towards Odesa, as well as Kharkiv and Mykolaiv. As a result of hitting the port infrastructure of Odesa, 4 people were injured, and in Kharkiv, 7 people, including three children, were killed in the Russian attack.
