Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin announced this.
"This is a full-fledged commercial agreement on licensed production in Ukraine. With a licence, the Ukrainian partner will be able to quickly prepare the site and start production," he explained.
According to the minister, the second contract concerns the opening of a Caesar gun maintenance unit in Ukraine. Some spare parts will be manufactured in Ukraine using 3D printing of metal parts.
In addition, Kamyshin says that KNDS has signed a letter of intent to establish a subsidiary of the group in Ukraine.
"We sincerely welcome this decision. I am convinced that there is no better place for the world's arms manufacturers to develop than Ukraine," the minister said.
- Tuuli Duneton, Vice Chancellor for Defence Policy at the Estonian Ministry of Defence, said that the reserve of weapons that could be sent to Ukraine has almost been exhausted.
