Ukraine secures approximately $73.7 billion in International support since full-scale invasion start

Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Ukraine has received approximately $73.7 billion in direct budgetary support from donor countries

According to his statement, thanks to budgetary support from donors since the start of the full-scale war, the government has been able to ensure stable state governance in Ukraine and fully fund social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget.

Marchenko also noted that the need for external financing in 2024 amounts to over $37 billion."Given the significant need for external financing, Ukraine relies on support to timely fund priority expenditures, particularly in the social and humanitarian sectors. The country fully finances defense and security from internal revenues and borrowings. Timely inflow of funds from international partners is essential to maintain the country's macrofinancial and economic stability," said the minister.

He emphasized that the Ukrainian government is working to ensure the proper fulfillment of agreed-upon conditions with partners to secure funding, which is a key element in Ukraine's recovery and its path to EU integration.

• On November 28, 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on the state budget for 2024. The revenues in the state budget for 2024 are set at 1.768 trillion UAH, budget expenditures – 3.35 trillion UAH, with a deficit of 1.57 trillion UAH, and external borrowings reaching 41 billion dollars. The forecast for real GDP growth is 4.6%, the inflation forecast is 9.7%, and the average exchange rate of the hryvnia for the year is projected at 40.7 UAH per dollar. The budget also includes pension indexation and an increase in the minimum wage.
