The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, announced the information.
According to him, a foster family with two boys, aged 13 and 15, who were deprived of parental care, was returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the occupation. Now they are safe, under the supervision of doctors and psychologists.
"Since the beginning of this year alone, we have managed to return 40 children to the government-controlled territory. I am grateful to Save Ukraine NGO, child welfare authorities and services for this work," Prokudin added.
Earlier, Ukraine managed to return a foster family with three orphans from the occupation: the mother was forced to send the children to a Russian school by threats.
