Ukraine rescues 11 children from Russian-occupied territory, including daughter of Azov fighter held captive for three years
As part of President Zelenskyy’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, another 11 children have been returned from Russian-occupied territory to areas under Ukrainian government control

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, shared the news.
"Among them is a girl whose mother, a service member and defender from the Azov Regiment, spent over three years in Russian captivity. A boy who, after years of separation, was finally reunited with his father—a soldier—and his older brother, who was recently released from captivity. And a boy who was orphaned, kidnapped from school, tortured in a basement, and nearly conscripted just a week before his 18th birthday," Yermak said.
- On May 22, nine children have been returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory from Russian-occupied areas as part of President Zelenskyy's Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
