Ukraine reports 183 combat clashes at front, repels 66 attacks in Pokrovsk sector

On July 4, 183 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian occupiers continue their attempts to storm the positions of the Defense Forces in 11 directions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report on July 5.

According to updated information, yesterday the Russian forces launched four missile and 74 air strikes, fired 14 rockets, and dropped 117 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they fired 6,312 times, including 118 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 5,250 “kamikaze” drones for attacks.

Russian forces carried out airstrikes on 12 settlements in Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck ten Russian manpower and weapons concentration areas, three artillery systems, an air defense system, a UAV control center, an ammunition depot, and five other key Russian targets.

Frontline situation

In the Sumy and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 Russian attacks. The Russians also launched 13 airstrikes using 32 guided bombs and fired 290 times, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted ten assaults on Ukrainian defensive lines near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Zelene, Kamianka, and toward Kutkivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, eight Russian attacks took place on July 4. Ukrainian forces repelled assaults near Holubivka, Zahryzove, and Zelenyi Hai.

In the Lyman sector, Russian invaders launched 27 attacks, trying to break through Ukrainian defenses near Nadiia, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Dibrova, and toward Hryhorivka.

In the Siversk sector, Russian troops made three attempts to advance near Verkhnokamianske and Vyiimka.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces carried out 11 attacks near Romanivka and toward Rusyn Yar and Yablunivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 66 assault actions near Poltavka, Novotoretske, Razine, Myroliubivka, Promin, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Kotliarivka, and Oleksiivka.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russian troops carried out 17 attacks near Yalta, Zirka, Zaporizhzhia, Komar, Voskresenka, and Shevchenko.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian occupying forces attempted to advance three times toward Ukrainian positions near Kamianske and toward Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian forces made three failed attempts to attack Ukrainian positions near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

In the Kramatorsk and Huliaipole sectors, no combat clashes were recorded.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

  • Over the past day, the Russian occupying army lost more than 1,000 troops and dozens of units of equipment and weaponry in the war against Ukraine.
