The analytical project DeepState reported the information.
Ukrainian defenders have regained positions near Lyptsi in the Kharkiv region.
In turn, according to analysts, Russian forces have made progress in Novoolenivka, Oleksandropil, and Leonidivka in the Donetsk region.
Later, DeepState added that the forest area north of Lyptsi was liberated by Ukraine's 13th Brigade of the National Guard Khartiia. In cooperation with other Defense Forces units, they were able to drive Russian forces out of the forest area covering more than 200 hectares.
The analysts noted that the battles for the forest strip lasted five and a half months, starting in November 2024. Thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian units, Russian invading troops were pushed back, and control over this important natural and tactically significant area was restored.
During this time, the Russian army lost nearly 1,500 soldiers killed and wounded, over 200 units of weaponry, and 175 pieces of equipment.
- Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 1,200 Russian soldiers, 50 artillery systems and 141 Russian drones at the front.
