Ukraine may begin ballistic missile production within year — expert
Ukraine could begin mass production of ballistic missiles within a year, but this requires financial assistance from partners
Aviation expert Kostiantyn Kryvolap expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anatolii Klochko stated that the entire missile program for the development of ballistic missiles is proceeding according to plan. 47% of it has been completed during this period.
The main issue remains funding. If Ukraine's partners help us very seriously in this matter, then I think that in about a year we will be able to see mass production. This is 8-10-12 months of time," Kryvolap said.
The expert emphasized that all work on pre-production and testing of the ballistic missile in Ukraine has already been almost completed.
"Such a period of time is needed to start mass production of ballistic missiles in Ukraine. Today, in fact, only finances are needed for this. After all, everything related to pre-production has already been almost completed," he added.
On June 13, the director of the Center for Army Research, Conversion and Disarmament, Valentyn Badrak, announced that the Ukrainian ballistic missile Sapsan successfully passed combat testing in May 2025 and is moving to mass production.
