Ukraine loses Su-27 fighter jet, pilot survives

Ukraine's Air Force reported the information.

"On the morning of April 28, 2025, during the execution of a complex combat mission involving air support for troops and repelling an air attack by enemy strike UAVs, a Su-27 fighter jet of the Air Force was lost," the statement said.

The pilot successfully ejected and is not in any danger. A search and rescue team promptly arrived at the landing site and transported the pilot to a medical facility for evaluation.

A specially appointed commission is currently investigating the causes of the incident.
