The Washington Post reports.

According to a senior Ukrainian military official, an attempt to strike Moscow on May 9 is unlikely because the Russians have moved a large number of air defense systems to protect the capital.

As you can see, they’ve moved all of Russia’s air defense systems to protect Moscow. Even if there is an attempt, it won’t be successful,” he suggested.

At the same time, another source mentioned that Chinese, Indian, and possibly European officials could be present at the Red Square parade. A Ukrainian strike could provoke retaliation from Russia and anger the United States, he added.

The WP source also noted that assumptions about Kyiv planning an attack are just hype.

  • Earlier, Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov announced that 29 world leaders would allegedly attend the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow.
